It's Weiss-chan.

[ The "-chan" was supposed to be the distraction. He's very good at this. ]

And... yeah, we can see that.

[ GET IN HERE. He himself has made quite the mess with a personal rain cloud before. That's what mops are for! But since she seems intent on staying out there for a bit, En steps away for a moment, then plops a towel over Weiss' head and holds a dinner plate over her head as an improvised umbrella. ]

[hurricanechef]

E-eh? Weiss-chan?

[ That was enough to make Atsushi put his book down and hurry toward the door. Normally it's nice to get a visitor, but with the look on En's face, it seemed like both of them might be needed for this. ]

Weiss-chan! You're looking... as lovely as ever?

[ Nailed it. ]

[schmisse]

[ what the hell is a chan ]

Thank you, [ she nods to en and the rain actually almost stops, turning back into a drizzle. it's a kind gesture okay!! ] I-- I've been having a difficult time with most of my former classmates here. [ she sighs, then looks at atsushi. ]

Hi.

[ awkward smile and an even more awkward handwave. ]

[slothly]

[ You're a -chan. ]

Ah.

[ He'd ask her if she wanted to talk about it, but she just said she wanted a distraction. Well, probably using a dinner plate as an umbrella is a distraction on its own. Still, he's the type of person who prefers talking about things, but even so... he'll probably just ask her about it later. ]

Hiding out then? S'fine with me if that's the case.

[hurricanechef]

We can't very well distract you from out there though.

[ Atsushi gives her a smile and steps to the side as if gesturing for her to come in. Both En and Atsushi have caused their apartment to flood or grow plants everywhere from their emotions alone. A little drizzle isn't going to bother them. ]

It's warmer inside.

[schmisse]

[ the uncertainty in her face is so obvious, but she takes a step inside anyway. the takes the towel that en placed on her head and tries to dry her hair with it. she's definitely starting to feel better, if the strength of the drizzling is anything to go by. it doesn't mean that there's a mess, though. her dress is dripping, and so is her hair. at least her shoes aren't muddy. ]

Sorry. I'll try not to stay long.

[slothly]

What are you talking about? There's no time limit, so stay as long as you like.

[ En shifts a little, keeping the plate hovering over her head to keep her a little dryer. ]

And... if you want to talk, we'll listen. If you don't want to talk, we can drop it and have some tea and talk about other things. I just wanted to put the offer on the table if you're interested. Which... obviously Atsushi would make the tea so it's palatable.

[ Atsushi heads off to go grab a few more towels, mostly so she didn't catch a cold. It wasn't a good idea to walk around in wet clothes, but as he was heading off to the closet to grab a few more he tilted his head with a smile.

Atsushi's always felt like En was better with words than him.]

Exactly as En said. We're all friends here, right? So please stay as long as you'd like. We enjoy your company.

[ He comes walking back with an extra towel for Weiss and one for En too. ]

[schmisse]

[ the words are actually comforting. weiss has always felt lonely, so hearing that she's welcome makes her feel a lot better. she smiles amicably, but doesn't move an inch until atsushi gets back.

in the meantime, she answers en. ]

Talking might be nice.

[slothly]

[ En quietly thanks Atsushi and drapes the extra towel Atsushi gives him over his shoulder for now. ]

Mm. Is it a conversation you'd rather have with just one of us, or is it okay if we're both here?

[ He asks because he knows Weiss and Atsushi talk much more than he and Weiss talk. En figures she might be more comfortable if it's just Atsushi. ]

I mean, I can go make the tea if that's the case. It'll taste bad and you'll probably never let me make tea again, but...

[hurricanechef]

[ Atsushi moves to put another towel on the cushions of the couch before moving to urge Weiss and En over toward it. We are all friends here and we will not leave anyone out, gosh! ]

Sit sit, make yourselves comfortable.

[ ATSUSHI KNOWS BEST. LISTEN TO YOUR HOUSEWIFE. ]

[schmisse]

[ it's talking to people about her problems that she thinks she's having difficulty with, along with letting people in. she's definitely a lot more comfortable with atsushi, but she'll never regard en the same way if she doesn't do anything about it.

she takes a seat at the edge of the couch so as not to dampen the chair more than what she's already doing. ]

I think both is fine. And it might be better if Atsushi made the tea. [ she cracks a small smile then. please don't poison anybody, en... ]

[slothly]

[ En is only briefly offended since he realizes a moment afterward that he's basically the one that said his tea was terrible. Maybe he'd be better at it if he drank less coffee and more tea. Or stopped making Atsushi make the tea. ]

Do you... ah...

[ En sits on the other end of the couch, figuring Atsushi ought to sit in the middle. ]

Do you want a change of clothes or something? We can get you a robe or whatever so you don't catch a cold.

[ En turns his gaze toward Atsushi as if waiting for him to confirm that yes, they're both too tall to really have anything in Weiss' size. ]

[hurricanechef]

That's a good point, Enchan. Weiss will get sick if she sits in those damp clothes.

[ He frowns thoughtfully, giving En a look in return. What could they possibly have that she'd fit, unless she wouldn't mind pajama's or something that fit her rather loosely. ]

[schmisse]

[ weiss is actually taken aback by this. she's not sure if she should be surprised or if this is a natural thing with them?? the difference in culture is huge. ]

You keep robes and dresses here?

[slothly]

[ At least it's distracting....... ]

We keep robes... which will still probably be too big on you, but it'll be something...? Ah, sorry. It's just the two of us living here, so we don't have anything for women.

[hurricanechef]

I'm beginning to think we should really start though, so Weiss-chan won't have to wear something so baggy.

[schmisse]

Oh.

[ she fidgets in her seat, a bit embarrassed. ]

I-- It's alright. Sorry, I was just wondering. I think at this point, I would take anything.

[ something she never thought she'd ever say. beggars can't be choosers! ]

[slothly]

Mm?

[ En leans his elbow against the arm of the couch and leans his cheek into his hand as he peers at Weiss. ]

It's fine. We'll find something for you. I know from experience what a pain in the ass rain clouds are. Atsushi?

[hurricanechef]

[ he was lost in thought, trying to think of how he could prevent this situation in the future that the only thing to snap him out of his thoughts were the mention of his name. ]

A-ah! Yes?

[schmisse]

[ weiss doesn't say anything for now and instead watches the exchange. she does want to ask en how he managed to summon a rain cloud over his head, though. ]

[slothly]

[ His own stupidity. His bed and floor were damp all day.

En turns his gaze toward Atsushi, deadpan, as if offended that Atsushi isn't a mind-reader. ]

The robe?

[ His cheeks heat up from embarrassment. He should have realized that's what En had meant. He bows his head a little and quickly walks off to one of the other rooms to go find a nice clean robe for her to wear. ]

[schmisse]

[ with atsushi gone for a bit, she shifts to look at en for a split second before looking away again. ]

Atsushi actually told me I could come visit anytime.

[ weiss actually liked doing things her way with little regard as to how the other person might be feeling. it's just now that she feels angry with her situation at home and with herself that she's being more sensitive. ]

Was I disturbing anything?

[slothly]

Mm. He told me.

[ He tilts his head toward her inquisitively, wondering if he'd come off as finding her arrival a nuisance. Her response wasn't what he was expecting, because a summary of the reasoning behind making Atsushi get the robes was on the tip of his tongue. ]

I'm fine with that, by the way. Although if you drop by at 3 in the morning or something, I can't guarantee I'll... you know... be awake.

[ With his free hand, he makes a vague gesture to the room. ]

There's really nothing to disturb. Besides, even if we were in the middle of dinner or some weird existential debate, we'd let you in on it if you wanted.
