[ His own stupidity. His bed and floor were damp all day.

En turns his gaze toward Atsushi, deadpan, as if offended that Atsushi isn't a mind-reader. ]

The robe?

[ His cheeks heat up from embarrassment. He should have realized that's what En had meant. He bows his head a little and quickly walks off to one of the other rooms to go find a nice clean robe for her to wear. ]

[ with atsushi gone for a bit, she shifts to look at en for a split second before looking away again. ]

Atsushi actually told me I could come visit anytime.

[ weiss actually liked doing things her way with little regard as to how the other person might be feeling. it's just now that she feels angry with her situation at home and with herself that she's being more sensitive. ]

Was I disturbing anything?

Mm. He told me.

[ He tilts his head toward her inquisitively, wondering if he'd come off as finding her arrival a nuisance. Her response wasn't what he was expecting, because a summary of the reasoning behind making Atsushi get the robes was on the tip of his tongue. ]

I'm fine with that, by the way. Although if you drop by at 3 in the morning or something, I can't guarantee I'll... you know... be awake.

[ With his free hand, he makes a vague gesture to the room. ]

There's really nothing to disturb. Besides, even if we were in the middle of dinner or some weird existential debate, we'd let you in on it if you wanted.

[ Atsushi goes through their things, trying to find one comfortable enough before coming back along his way. He stops when he hears them talking. Maybe he should stand here a little longer? ]

[ weiss gets up at the signal, not even noticing how the cloud above her head has gotten a lot smaller. it's stopped drizzling and the cloud is on its way to disappearing for good! (and also for now) ]

If it were some kind of debate, I may not go easy on either of you if I don't agree with what you have to say.

[ she chuckles softly at that before following atsushi into the room. ]

I guess I'll just wash up?

Hey, I like a good debate. It's no fun if everyone's viewpoint is the same.

[ He smiles, glad to see that Weiss' mood has lightened up, although it leaves him wondering if talking about whatever's going on with her former classmates will make it rain again. Even if it does, En is always firmly against not talking about problems. It hurts, but it's a necessary pain. ]

Yeah. You can use the bathroom or one of the bedrooms, or wherever.

[ En pauses for a moment. Okay, the "wherever" sounded dumb. ]

We'll get you some tea. Or coffee. Actually, a café au lait with milk and sugar sounds really good....

[ Atsushi smiles at Weiss and gently hands over the robe to her and directs her to the bathroom. He figured she would probably feel more comfortable getting changed in there instead of in one of their bedrooms. ]

Only if you asked please.

[ she's never been in a man's bedroom!!! unless it's whitley's but he's a shit.

she takes the robe and holds it close to her, almost embracing it. just being able to feel it against the skin on her hands is comforting since it's dry. ]

Tea would be lovely. [ a short pause as she opens the door to the bathroom, then she looks back. ] Please.

[ it takes her close to ten minutes before she comes back out in the robe. she decided to dry her hair off as well, letting it down instead of how she usually has it. it wouldn't dry properly if part of it was tied up, after all.

she has her clothes folded neatly in her hands as she exits, then she sits back down on the couch. by now, the cloud has completely disappeared. ]

[ Excuse you be nice to Shitley. ]

[ He goes so far as to hold out the dinner plate for Atsushi to take back to the kitchen on his way to make that tea and coffee. After all, it's on the way... and he might as well make coffee since he'll be making tea... and why let En waste good coffee when Atsushi can make it so much better?

But for as lazy as he is, he's still genuinely concerned about Weiss. Maybe it'll be better for her to talk about why her former classmates are upsetting her so much, although that still leaves the possibility of her cloud returning. Would she get angry if he brought it up again? ...Probably not. He thinks. ]

[ After taking the plate, Atsushi heads off to the kitchen to make some coffee for En and some tea for Weiss and himself. Honestly he didn't really mind doing all of this. He might tease En every now and then about helping, but really it just brings a big smile to his face to be able to help like this. ]

You better be making yourself comfortable, Weiss. That is an order from the housewife.

[ he tilted his head back to look at Weiss and En and flashed them a small smile. ]

[ weiss does shift in her seat to make herself more comfortable. then her eyes wander to en's, looking at him awkwardly. then she looks away to fix her hair, placing most of it at the front of her shoulder by her chest.

when at atsushi chimes in, she can't help but be a little playful. ]

En doesn'f look like an old man.

[ ah... ]

[ En is trying to figure out why she's looking at him like that, wishing she'd just spit out whatever was on her mind instead of glancing at him like that, but-- ]

...What?

[ Even here, in a completely different world, rumors of his old-looking face have spread! En reaches up to touch his own face gingerly with his fingertips, his gaze locked on Weiss in abject horror. He wants to ask who was saying he looked old, but the only culprit in that case would be Atsushi.

But.

It didn't mean it was Atsushi. Maybe there aren't rumors. Maybe people can look at him and his face and immediately notice his droopy, sanpaku eyes and long face and see that by the time En turns 19 in a little over a month, he'll look like a teenage boy with the face of a 60-year-old. He can't decide what's worse: Atsushi spreading rumors or his face being noticeably old to everyone. What if Weiss takes it further? He asked "what," so maybe she'll tease him about how he's hard of hearing, too.

Just kill him now. Everything is such a pain in the ass!! Someone end him and put him out of his misery. ]

[ Atsushi turns around quickly when he hears the words come out of Weiss's mouth. The kettle he was using to make the coffee falls out of his hand and hits the floor with a loud clang.

WEISS HOW COULD YOU. DO YOU KNOW THE DRAMA YOU HAVE UNLEASHED?!]

[ only it was atsushi, and weiss had been curious to see en again after her told her that! weiss was completely serious when she said that, though, which makes her wonder why atsushi's freaking out and en is experiencing some kind of crisis because of his face. ]

It's not a big deal, [ she tells en. ] You don't.

[ and okay... maybe she wanted to see what atsushi would do if she brought it up, too.

the kettle isn't forgotten, though. (EVEN THOUGH I ACTUALLY DID.) if it isn't spilling then weiss actually gets up to pick it up. but if it is, then she actually becomes tense again and lifts her feet up by an inch just so the coffee doesn't touch her. ]

[ En brings his knees to his chest and wraps his arms around them, pathetically leaning over to the side so that he's partially hanging off the arm of the couch. ]

Ah.

[ Maybe he should consider plastic surgery...... But that's expensive and he's just a high school student. Or... was? He's been here long enough that he would have graduated by now. He's having a midlife crisis and he's only 18!! Probably because he's also very talented at only hearing what he wants to hear sometimes. ]

[ For a moment, he wonders if he was being used as a distraction like Weiss wanted, but it's only for a moment because any longer than that takes energy he doesn't have. ]

[ He takes the kettle from her hands and luckily nothing poured out. He pours a cup for En and gently ruffles his hair in an apologetic manner before heading back to the kitchen to get the tea started. ]

[ en can sulk all he wants!! weiss did nothing wrong. (nottalking)

the question brings her back to reality though, and she flops back on the couch with a pout. ]

I kind of got into a fight with a friend. Then I gave him some chocolates to apologise but he gave it back to me.

[ so yeah!! she's bitter and she's venting.

...Did you taste the chocolates before you gave them to him? There was a guy who practically poisoned a bunch of people around Valentine's Day because he made them so poorly, so if they tasted bad that's one reason he might give it back. It doesn't mean that he gave them back because of your argument.

[ Despite being bossy and asking for the coffee (without a "please," no less), En doesn't even touch it. ]

Atsushi could hear the conversation from the kitchen area so it wasn't like he was being left out. He chimed in as well.]

Or maybe he felt like the fight wasn't too big of a problem, so the chocolates weren't necessary? Like everything was already fine?

[ He laughs sheepishly. ]

I didn't make the chocolates, but they should be fine since they were store bought!

[ more venting!! she doesn't mean to raise her voice. she's just incredibly frustrated and upset. ]

If everything was fine, then he would have told me. [ a beat, then she pouts. ] I may have walked out on him in the middle of our argument.

[ En's quiet for a moment, then shifts into a proper sitting position. ]

...Mm. That's not always a bad thing, you know. Sometimes it's better to walk away and cool down. Otherwise, you might say something hurtful without meaning to. But--and I know you already know this, but I'm saying it anyway--you should go back. When you've calmed down, I mean, so you're able to talk with a cool, level head.

I agree with Enchan. Of course when you're calmed and feeling better. If he's your friend and important to you... you wouldn't want to leave things like this.

[ Atsushi's words sound a little sad. He knows that feeling well, and he would never wish those feelings upon anyone else. ]

[ they aren't the words weiss wants to hear, but they're probably what she needs. she did want somebody to side with her and talk shit about jaune, but ahe figures she'll probably regret it later.

she takes in a deep breath and sighs. ]

If he even wants to fix things, anyway.

[ there's still some anger and bitterness residing in her but she's mostly calmed down. her devastation from her apology being rejected has passed, evidenced by the lack of rain cloud above her head. it's time to start distracting herself again!! she started if off by pointing out that en doesn't look old, but it seemed like too sensitive a subject than what she had in mind.

(she was hoping it would be funny!) ]

You said, "I got into a fight with a friend." Friends naturally want to fix things. It's just that... sometimes, one or both parties involved are... bad at fixing things. Some people let it sit and they stew for a while, and by the time they're not angry anymore they feel too awkward to go apologize. Then there are others who are afraid of rocking the boat and decide to give the other person some space until they come apologize, except that might never happen. Just because they're your friend doesn't make it easy to apologize, or even to accept an apology for that matter.

[ With his mouth in a firm frown, he glances at Weiss. Watching her body language, gauging her expression. ]

[ Besides, if he told Weiss, she'd just roll her eyes, probably. More importantly, though: ]
