she flails her arms, so surprised by this???? she doesn't even know if she should hug him back. she's only ever hugged her sister, and... ruby maybe once or twice. and yang... this is hard. ]

[ When he realized what he did, he quickly pulls away, face completely red. He just pulled a Yumoto, this is absolutely embarrassing! ]

I-I'm sorry! I-I was just so happy it sort of happened.

[ he's not the only one who's red, at least. ]

No, it's fine. Just— [ she ends up laughing a little. ] It's fine.

I hope I didn't um... make you uncomfortable in any way.

[schmisse]

No, it's not that. [ she takes a step back though, and bows her head slightly. ] Sorry. It just took me off guard, that's all.

[ He looks relieved when she said that. Sometimes he feels like he's on thin ice with her, but it has nothing to do with her and everything to do with his lack of confidence in himself. ]

W-would you like to come in and have a few with me? If you're busy though I understand.

[ she does want to see how he'll react to the chocolate. she's tested it just once and it's the perfect mix of spicy and sweet and bitter. at least, it's perfect in her tastes. ]

I suppose I can stay just to see your face when you eat it.

[ He laughs a little and moves to the side of the door to let her come in, even if it's for a moment. ]

You weren't busy, were you?

Not at all. I don't have to work today so I was just reading.

[schmisse]

What do you do for work?

[hurricanechef]

I don't have a perminent job, but this month I'm guarding a garden.

[schmisse]

I didn't know you could fight.

[hurricanechef]

O-Oh um. I mean I'm not all that good? B-But you know what doesn't kill you makes you stronger and all that jazz???

[ laughing awkwardly. ]

Are you working with someone?

Actually En ended up signing for the same job this month.

[schmisse]

He fights, too?

... what kind of weapons do you use?

Just um... you know. like magic. Th-the specific kind here?

[SWEATS. WEISS CANT FIND OUT HE'S A BATTLE LOVER. ]

That's dangerous. What if you can't control your emotions?

[ not... that she doubts atsushi or anything, but she doesn't want to rely on dunamis too much. ]

You're right. I need to be careful with this magic. I've been practicing a little, but I might need more than I a little.
