[ He looked up at his senpai, then gave him a salute. ]

[ Atsushi laughed again, washing out the cup, drying it and then setting it on the counter before making his way back to Takuto, He sits on the floor beside him. ]

Brat.

[universalboy]

What? Did I just hear that? The last person who called me a brat was my dad.

[ Long pause. ]

Probably. I was too busy keeping him from destroying the planet.

A-ah... w-well I can promise you, I meant it in the most playful and friendliest way possible.

[universalboy]

I know.

[ Takuto slid over and put his head against Atsushi's leg. ]

[hurricanechef]

[ Atsushi smiled gently down at him and reached over to pet his hair a little. ]

[universalboy]

[ He's shy about most things, but Atsushi is a good person and a friend. So he melts as he's pet; his hair is a fluffy, thick mess of untamable pretty boy youth. ]

I feel safe when I'm with you.

[hurricanechef]

That makes me happy to know you feel that way. I'd feel terrible if I made you intimidated.

[ he laughs a bit, still letting his fingers fluff through his hair. ]

Ah... you know what? I realized I don't know much about you besides the magical things.

[universalboy]

Oh! Uhm... I'm actually very shy and introverted. Hard to believe, but... I just make myself act. I lost a friend when I was in middle school, so I'm trying to live out my youth and the rest of my life for him. Because he had a zest for life and being bold and radiant... so I gotta. Since he never got to live on.

[hurricanechef]

That's really noble of you... I'm sure he would be happy to see you trying new things in life.

[universalboy]

I hope so. He was... so alive. I wanted to embrace that. So now I'm more open, and I'm doing so much better. I'm just sad he died for me to change at all.

[hurricanechef]

I'm sure... he doesn't fault you for it though.

[ Combing his fingers through Takuto's hair. ]

No... he wouldn't. He'd be glad. But I have to shine bright for more than just myself, y'know?

[ He's so content. ]

What else did you wanna know? I do kendo... I dual-wield, heh.

[ He started to laugh. ]

Royal blue, strawberry, Western-style breakfast with bacon! And parfaits and crepes, but only when I'm with Wako.

[ He laughs as well, giving Takuto a bright smile. ]

And remember not to kill me with spicy food. I'm delicate and have many years of life ahead of me.

[ he huffs a little, poking Takuto's cheeks. </small.]

That just means you're not selfish. I get the feeling you can't be, having to wrangle your squad.

I don't really need anything, so I wouldn't really call it a lack of being selfish.

I do admit, the friends I have back home and the ones I've made here are very precious to me, but I'm still not so sure about that attractive thing.

[ He playfully poked his cheek again. Takuto was included in that list of precious friends. ]

[ He puffed his cheek out in the spot he was poked. ]

last time I checked I wasn't a vampire.
